6th Meeting of Gender Focal Point
Network
Saturday and Sunday, 17-18 May, 2008.
The meeting of the Gender Focal Point Network involves the
official representatives, women and men of the Women Offices
in each of the 21 APEC economies. Peru is the host of the 6th
Meeting. The next meetings will be in Singapore in 2009 and in
Japan in 2010.
Objectives
-
To
promote the application of the Framework for the Integration
of Women in APEC in order to achieve the equality of women
and men, and women’s economic integration in the Region.

To
promote women’s participation in the different APEC fora.

To
collect gender disaggregated data.

To
share best practices for gender integration in each economy.
