APEC Workshop on Gender Analysis Training

Thursday and Friday, 15-16 May, 2008.

This is a project of the Asian Pacific Women's Information Network Center (APWINC) of the Sookmyung Women's University of Korea. This event is addressed to Officials participating in the APEC SOM II Meeting in order to train them in the incorporation of gender contents in their policies, proposals and strategies. The Ministry of Women and Social Development (MIMDES) is coordinating the performance of this event.

Objectives

• To accelerate the gender integration process into APEC strategies and practices through the training of the Senior Officials of the different APEC meetings (SOM) who take part.

• To develop a Training Manual for these Senior Officials demonstrating how to effectively incorporate the concepts, practices and tools for gender integration into the policies and intervention strategies.
